I was employed to translate two episodes of the Netflix series, Ronja The Robber’s Daughter (Ronja Rövardotter).

An iconic story

As a seasoned film and TV script translator, I was contacted to translate the production scripts from Swedish to English.

Based on Astrid Lindgren’s beloved book, the main challenge of this project was retaining the wit and magic of the source text. Astrid Lindgren made up a lot of her own words and phrases, as well as magical creatures, so it was important to find an English equivalent with the same sentiment.
